Mr. Corie Darnell Harris, age 40, of Griffin, passed away January 31, 2017, at the Hope House in Griffin.

Corie was born on March 2, 1976, in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Furman Harris, Sr., and Jeanne Bennett Harris. He was in restaurant management for many years. He was a very enjoyable family man who loved to laugh and make people smile. He loved to play games, tell stories and also loved Winnie the Pooh. Corie loved New York and especially the Yankees. He always said he was trying and it showed. Even when he didn’t have the time, he always made time to show love to his girls. He will always be remembered as the Boul/Guy Cor.

Survivors include his wife, Rashita Harris; mother, Jeanne Harris; children, Tatyana, Aviyan, Chanel, and Ani Harris; brothers, Furman Harris, Jr., Anthony Harris, and Claude Watson; granddaughter, Orion Taylor Wadsworth.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
