Dale Alan Hirzel was born September 24, 1953 in Santa Barbara, California to Ruby Love Hirzel and the late Bud Hirzel. He served his country proudly as a Marine and then served the Los Angeles community as a LAPD. Dale loved music. He could play just about any instrument that he picked up. He also enjoyed reading and watching Alabama football.
Dale Alan Hirzel, 65, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on May 29th, 2019 at his home. He is preceded in death by his father, his mother Betty Jo Hirzel, and his infant daughter, Rebecca.
Survivors include his wife; Sharron Hirzel, two sons; Jeremiah Hirzel and his wife Laura of Columbus, Georgia, and Reed Strickland and his wife Stacy of Salem, Alabama, three daughters; Billy Kobayashi and her husband Nick of Lompac, California, Tonya Olortegui and her husband James of Santa Paula, California, and Tara Hirzel and her husband Nick or Compton, California, six grandsons, two granddaughters, brother; Randy Hirzel of Fort Walton, Florida, sister, Rose Manning of Leesburg, Florida, his birth mother; Ruby Love of Nocona, Texas, brother-in-law; Bubba Armstrong and his partner Bobby Jones of Fortson, Georgia, sister-in-law; Terrie Hill and her husband Kenny of Manchester, Pennsylvania, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome to stop by Dale and Sharron’s home at anytime to visit. Please just call before stopping by.
