Daniel Mark McGowan, Sr., 45, of Upatoi, Ga passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 in his home.

Daniel was born May 20, 1978 in Columbus, GA to Mark and Paula McGowan. He had several jobs during his short life. His last job was Team Leader at KIA in LaGrange, GA until he became disabled and no longer able to work. Daniel loved his family and most of all Jesus. He loved to read his Bible, memorize Bible verses, worship and sing praises to Jesus.

Daniel is survived by his son Daniel Mark McGowan, Jr.; mother, Paula Moss McGowan; father, Mark Anthony McGowan; Brother, Jeremy McGowan (Tammy) of Richmond, VA; sister, Amber McGowan Ward (Ben) of Gloucester, VA; grandfather, G.E. ”Mac” McGowan of Columbus, GA; and several Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Frances Walker McGowan; grandfather, C.L. Moss; grandmother, Nellie Fuller Moss.

He was a member of Upatoi Baptist Church where a celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday, November 5th at 2pm.
