Daron Rance Hammock, age 74, of Phenix City, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, while under the care of hospice. Born on April 25, 1952, in Phenix City, Daron was one of seven children born to the late Gerald Dean and Mary Lillian Hammock.

Daron spent most of his life working as a house painter with Herrington Paint Company, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. He enjoyed the simple things in life, especially spending time fishing.

In addition to his parents, Daron was preceded in death by his brother, Dallas Hammock.

He leaves behind four daughters: Tisha Freeman (Scott), Deana Kirby, Chrissy Pillman (Christian), and Tiffany Shiver (Matt). He is also survived by his siblings: Joseph Hammock (Donna), Vandon Hammock, Dan Hammock (Robin), Alan Hammock (Diane), and Janna Hammock Campbell (Leland). He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members, and friends.

A private service will be held with family.
