Darwin Wayne Norris, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on July 19, 2023, in Columbus, Georgia at the age of 88. Wayne was born on February 14, 1935, in Opp, Alabama, and was raised in Columbus.
Wayne was a retired used car dealer, insurance agent and mortgage broker. He was a very friendly, compassionate and generous man; anyone he knew who needed help could always count on Wayne to be there.
Wayne was an avid animal lover and cared for many dogs and cats throughout his life. He loved watching football games with family and friends and enjoyed a good action movie or television series.
Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pamila Jean Norris, daughter Laura Leigh Norris, father E. Ellis “Red” Norris, mother Wilma Mae Norris and grandsons Sonny Ray Loyd and Larry Fobes King.
Wayne is survived by his wife Yvette Hamilton, sister Sonja Norris Ridlehoover, daughters Dianne Norris Folds, Jacque Milligan and Denise Norris, sons Wayne King, Greg King and David Norris, grandchildren Joy Anderson, Courtney Moon, Joseph Zulka, Kevin Wilson, Misty Loyd, Rocky King, Adrian Wazlavek, Pamila M. Norris and Rhiannon Hall, and several great-grandchildren, cousins and in-laws.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday August 9, 2023 at 11 AM at Parkhill Cemetery.

I love and miss you so much, Dad. It hurts badly that I won’t see or hear you again on this earth, but you will always be in my heart with Mom and I know you’re no longer suffering and you’re with Mom again, watching over us all. ♥️
