Mr. David Hanahan, age 54, of Peachtree City passed away on September 4, 2017. He was born on September 14, 1962 in McHenry, Illinois. Mr. Hanahan enjoyed traveling and as a long-standing employee in the airline industry, he was able to live in 8 states across the country. His career led him to work for Delta Airlines in Atlanta beginning in 2012. Mr. Hanahan graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with an MBA.
Mr. Hanahan will always be remembered as being the life of the party with his great sense of humor and ability to put a smile on everyone’s face. He loved chocolate and playing golf, especially riding in the golf cart with his dog, Anabelle, along Peachtree City’s numerous paths.
Mr. Hanahan is preceded in death by his parents, Dolores and Thomas Joseph Hanahan. His survivors include his brother Thomas J. Hanahan, III of Chicago, Illinois, his sister Karen Holycross and her husband Dan Holycross of New Braunfels, Texas, his sister Connie Molland and her husband Rick Molland of Marshall, North Carolina. Mr. Hanahan is also survived by his fur-child, Anabelle.
In memory of Mr. Hanahan, the family will honor his retirement dream of riding around in his golf cart wearing black socks and sandals.
Mr. Hanahan was proud to be associated with a program that collected and donated toys every Christmas via the “Light up the Night” holiday donation effort which begins the day after Thanksgiving and runs through December 15th. All stuffed stockings are donated to families in need in our community and children at Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital. Any questions may be directed to Assistant Chief Pye at spye@peachtree-city.org. The family asks that memorial contributions be given to this program in his loving memory.
The Hanahan family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 1086 Highway 54 West, Fayetteville.

I was lucky to have had David as my roommate while attending Embry Riddle. Couldn’t have asked for a better roommate or friend to share the college experience with. We shared some great times while students. Our friendship continued into our professional lives. Dave was always a supportive and positive influence. He had the ability to make you feel better if you were down. His energy was contagious and his compassion unmatched. I’m truly saddened by this loss. Nothing I can say would ease the pain David’s family must be feeling. I cannot imagine the loss you’re feeling. I am so sorry. Please know that having David as a friend was truly a gift. Although David is no longer with us we’ll all cherish his humor and compassion. I’ll always have those wonderful memories. Thank you for being a friend.
I will miss you buddy.

I am so sad. I got online to find my first love, Dave. I found this. The scar on his nose belongs to me…sorry about that, Dave. I will love and miss you forever. Pegi
