David Anderson Gilvin, 65, of Peachtree City, GA, passed away on February 2, 2024. David was born April 21, 1958, in Louisville, GA, to John and Mary (Stavely) Gilvin. He grew up in the College Park area alongside his parents and his brother, Mark. David earned his high school diploma from North Clayton High school in 1976.
In 1982 David wed the love of his life. The couple had two beautiful daughters and spent 41 years in blissful matrimony. David and his family settled in Peachtree City, Ga in the late 1980s and he went to work as an Inventory Control Manager in a refrigeration and cold storage warehouse.
David was a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, Nascar, and especially Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a long-time member of the Son Chasers Motorcycle group. His all-time favorite thing to do was enjoy time with his family and his grandson!
David will live on in the hearts of those who love him and through his children and grandchildren, who are his greatest legacy!
David was preceded in death by his parents: John Anderson and Mary Jewell Gilvin. He is survived by his wife: Nancy Gilvin; his daughters: Amy Gilvin Kembel (Michael) of Duluth and Andrea Ross (Justin) of Senoia; his brother: Mark Gilvin of McDonough; his grandson: Riley Ross.
David’s birthday is April 21st and the family requests that others show an act of kindness on that day to remember him by. Contributions can be made to your favorite charity in memory of David Gilvin.
