Ms. Edwards was born October 23, 1952 in Phenix City, the daughter of James Dryer Edwards and Katie Bell Hall Edwards. She graduated from Central High School in Phenix City and attended Columbus Technical College. She retired from Civil Service at Ft. Benning and then worked at Phenix and Girard Bank until she permanently retired. Ms. Edwards was Baptist by faith and enjoyed needlework, arts and crafts, and spending time playing with her dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Nellie.

Survivors include her son, Dylan Edwards of Phenix City; her granddaughter, Maura Lynn Bell of Shiloh, GA and a cousin, Vicky Ward of Phenix City.
