My deepest condolences to Donald’s family. I’m sorry to say I never got the chance to meet him, but he was my cousin unfortunately our paths never did cross my Uncle Rudy whom I am grateful I did manage to stay in touch with and still do with aunt Elizabeth and their daughter Elena, wish I would have reached out so sorry. But my thoughts and prayers are very much with Donald’s family may he rest in peace and the memories you have with him will comfort and strengthen you to continue your journey till you meet again I’m sure Donald is sitting with Tio Rudy and the rest of our family telling his stories.
Sincerely your cousin

I loved him, but he pissed me off. No flowery words beyond he was one of the most kind persons I knew. He loved every kid that got within 2 feet of him, and they loved him. I will miss him forever.

I spent the majority of my childhood with the Resendez’s. Not that they had much of a choice, but they became my surrogate family. After my mom died, I would show up to Christa’s bedroom window, every single day, around the crack of dawn. She didn’t appreciate being woken up so early, but she was ALWAYS there for me. The Resendez’s are the most honorable family I have ever met. They love each other to a fault and would take a bullet for each other in a heartbeat. Mr. Resendez, I pray that you are looking down at us right now, and I pray that you were made whole the moment that your life slipped from your physical body. I pray that you are wherever my mother is, and I pray that she greets you with love and helps you get situated back on the other side. I pray that one day, when I’ve healed my mind from the trauma I face today, Christa and I will be best friends again. I pray that I she doesn’t lose another person before I am able to be a part of her life again, to help her through any of life’s curve balls. Growing up she was and still is the best friend that I have ever had. Mr. Resendez and Mrs. Resendez raised one of the strongest, kindest, most loving persons I have had the honor of knowing. She is always calm and loving, there for everyone else, she’s always doing her best and sacrificing for her family. I pray that Source blesses Christa and all of the Resendez family. And Mr. Resendez, fly high!! You are loved!
