Dorothy Jean Fox, 75, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on February 3, 2021.

Mrs. Fox was born December 1, 1945 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Perry and Julia Lawrence.

During her working career she spent 27 years as a bartender at AMF Peach Lanes. She also spent time as a receptionist at Carmike Cinemas for 10 years.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Perry Edward Lawrence and Julia Imogene Leathers, her husband, Lewis Victor Fox, and her great grandson, Hayden Baker.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jawan Taylor and Brandi Fox, her two sons, Timothy Mitchell and Ronnie Mitchell, her brother, Wayne Lawrence, her sister, Nioka Snellgrove, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

The family asks that any memorial contributions such as flowers be sent to 323 Voorhees Road, Hamilton, GA 31811.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2021 beginning at 2pm at “The Perfect Place” (5344 B, Kolb Avenue, Columbus, Georgia, 31904).
