Edgar Jorge Chardon, 50, of Stone Mountain, GA, passed away on Thursday, July 7,2022 with his wife, daughter, mother, father and family and friends by his side. Edgar Jorge Chardon, lovingly known as “EJ”, was the only child born to Edgardo Chardon and Lourdes E. Chamorro on August 7,1971 in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
EJ grew up in Passaic, New Jersey from 1974-1984, alongside his Rat Pack; Ismael, David, Pedro, Raul, Maritza, Janet, and Jose. Their days included going to school, watching movies, playing, exploring the neighborhood, and hanging out at each other houses, among other things.
When EJ returned to Ponce, Puerto Rico in 1984 his Rat Pack would continue to grow to include Ozzie, Nelson, Waldy, Debbie, Reinaldito and a host of other friends. They would spend their days having fun; going to the beach, listening to music, enjoying drinks, and living, laughing, and loving life.
EJ would go on to graduate from Las Delicias High School in 1989 where he was a good student with honorable citizenship. EJ pursued higher education and graduated from Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico with a major in Criminology and minor in Psychology Degree in 1994. During EJ college career he worked as tutor and helped with pro bono cases.
EJ returned to the states in 2000 to Stone Mountain, GA, where he met and fell in love with his wife, Izella. EJ introduced her to his family and friends and invited her to family events/gatherings. EJ and Izella loved traveling, but it was EJ’s passion for music, fun, beach, sports, and family that won her heart. On May 11, 2004, EJ took her home to Ponce, Puerto Rico and married the love of his life Izella King. His witness to this matrimony was one of many loving cousins, Jose Gonzalez. EJ and Izella welcomed their only child Zoe Bella Chardon, on January 28th, 2005. EJ’s undeniable love and dedication to taking care of his family grew even stronger after her birth. EJ’s love for his family was always felt and present.
EJ worked for US Auto Sales for over 17 years as a Car salesman. Everyone who crossed EJ’s path was changed forever. They knew they were loved; and if they needed anything, he would be there. EJ’s friendships were lifelong and beyond.
EJ is survived by his wife, Izella King Chardon; daughter, Zoe Chardon; Mother, Lourdes Chamorro of Stone Mountain, GA; Father Edgardo Chardon of Ponce, Puerto Rico, and maternal grandmother, Francisca Colon; also known as “Dona Panchita” of Ponce, Puerto Rico; Brother Ismael Gonzalez, wife, Dalmirys Gonzalez and godson, Ismael Gonzalez Jr of Stone Mountain, GA, and Carmen Chardon of Ponce, Puerto Rico, many other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family.
EJ was preceded in death by his loving paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jorge and Josephine Chardon, of Ponce, Puerto Rico; his beloved Uncle Jerry of Stone Mountain, GA; and Uncle Jorge of Ponce, Puerto Rico.

Recibe también el consuelo que le pedimos a nuestro Padre Celestial para ti y para el resto de la familia. Es bueno saber que por la resurrección de nuestro amado Jesús la muerte no tiene la última palabra. Dios me los bendiga a todos.
