Edward Virgil Walker, 58, of Fort Mitchell, Al, departed earth all too soon on September 22, 2022.
Ed was born on November 27, 1963, in Carrolton, Ga.
Ed spent a short time serving our country in the Army. Once his obligation was fulfilled with the Army his interest sparked in commercial refrigeration and that’s what he spent the remainder of his life doing. In 2006 Ed met his loving wife Debra and they wed that same year. They spent a total of 15 years together.
Ed was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. Ed’s family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. Ed was unendingly proud of his Bonus Daughter April, and Grandson Ayden and always tried his best to support them. Anyone who knew Ed knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Tito and Nancy Cruz-Diaz. He is survived by his wife Debra Walker, bonus daughter April Bailey, grandson Ayden Pollard all of Fort Mitchell, Al, sisters Patricia (Jay) Terry of Hamilton, Ga and Debbie (Robert) Messer of Phenix City, AL, niece Kensley Messer of Phenix City, AL, nephews Tito Terry and Nicholas Terry and family all of Hamilton, Ga, Adam (Tammy) Howell of Waverly Hall, Ga and Allen Howell of Ga. And a host of other family and friends.
The family requests that all thoughts of condolences and sentiments are sent to 147 McLendon Road, Fort Mitchell, Al. There will be no services held at this time. Private interment will be held at the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Georgia Cremation is assisting the family with the arrangements.
