Mrs. Ruby Mozelle Redd Eheman, age 91, of Hampton, Georgia passed away December 24, 2016.
Mrs. Eheman was born on December 12, 1925, daughter of the late Orbie and Gladys Redd. She was raised in Cumming alongside her twin sister, Ruth, and an older sister, Maurine. After graduating from high school, Ruby, her sisters, and mother moved to Atlanta to work as an operator for the telephone company. Ruby married James “Jim” Reed Eheman on September 4, 1948. They moved frequently during his career with the United States Army, living in several different states, as well as Japan and Germany. After Jim’s retirement, the couple settled in Griffin. While raising her family, Ruby worked as a Key Punch Operator during the early years of computer mainframes. In later years, she worked in customer service at the Sears Outlet in Griffin. Ruby was a long time member of McIntosh Baptist Church in Griffin.
Mrs. Eheman is preceded in death by her sister, Stella Maurine Redd McFarland.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years: Jim Eheman; daughters: Pamela Shields and husband Joel of Hampton, and Cheryl Loesch of Virginia Beach, VA; son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Christie Eheman of Smyrna; grandson: Thomas Eheman and his wife Kaylyn of Roswell; twin sister, Ruth L. Strauss of Longboat Key, FL.
