Eleanor Mengert, 90, of Columbus, Georgia, formerly of Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Columbus Hospice House, Columbus, Georgia.

Eleanor was born July 7, 1932 in Milwaukee Wisconsin.  She retired from the Falk Corporation in Milwaukee after working for many years as an Executive Secretary.  She always led a very active lifestyle and continued to be active throughout her 80’s and at the age of 90.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Clifford Mengert, father Henry Zimmer, mother Nora Zimmer and brothers Harry, Norman and Thomas.

She is survived by her daughters Karen Mengert and Jo Ellen Mengert of Columbus, GA, son Paul Mengert and his wife Joy Datka of North Prairie, WI, son Jon Mengert and his wife Christine of Palmyra, WI and grandchildren Kyle, Daniel and Nathan.

Memorial services for Eleanor are being planned for a later date in Wisconsin.

Georgia Cremation of Columbus, Georgia is assisting family.
