On Wednesday, November 4, 2020, Emily Camille Hurtt Ivey, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 82. Emily resided in Newnan, GA.
Emily was born on August 15, 1938 in Macon, GA to Kolin and Jewel Hurtt. Emily is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bill; and children, Bill (Beth) Ivey, Jr, Tim Ivey, Cathy (Terry) Barrows, and Rick (Wanda) Ivey; grandchildren, Drew (Kim) Hobgood, Jennifer (Steve) Horton, Jessica (Justin) Dunn, Josh Ivey, Chris Ivey, and Jordan Ivey; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Tripp, Ivey, and Esme.
She loved traveling, cruises, and volunteering at Crossroads Church. She never met a stranger, had an infectious smile, and a kind and compassionate spirit.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Crossroads Church at 3260 GA-16, Sharpsburg at 3 o’clock p.m. EST with Pastor Ken Adams officiating.
