Eula May Lindquist Gabbert, age 91, of Duluth, Georgia passed away at home on March 6, 2022.
Eula May was born to missionary parents in Ranchi, India on September 15, 1930. She graduated from Portland Union Academy and attended Southwestern Junior College in Keene, Texas before transferring to Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. The two worked in the Chesapeake, Oregon, Ohio, Potomac, Texas and Georgia-Cumberland Seventh-day Adventist Conferences. Eula May taught elementary school, piano and supported Gale with his church ministry. They often opened up their home for church potlucks and took pleasure in visiting people in their homes. They enjoyed retirement living for over 20 years in Collegedale, Tennessee, spending winters in Avon Park, Florida. For the past two years, Eula May lived with her son Dennis and wife Rhea, where she read her large-print Bible, walked over two miles a day and watched sermons of her favorite preacher, David Asscherick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gale Gabbert; parents, Ebba and George Lindquist; and brother, Edo Lindquist.
Survivors include her sister, Evonne Baasch; three children, Teresa Dorn (Randy), Dennis Gabbert (Rhea), and Brenda Theus (Ted); grandchildren, Ashley Lucas, Christina Howard, Brandon Dorn, Andrew Theus, Caroline Theus, Jacob Gabbert; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to be made to Adventist Development and Relief Agency.

Your mother was a beautiful and kind lady. I enjoyed talking with her, and listening to her stories. She and your dad were wonderful examples of Christianity in their daily lives.

I always knew Eula May as an outgoing, talented, friendly and loving Christian mother, grandmother and friend of all. She told great stories and seemed to know everyone. My thoughts and prayer are with all of her family, whom she was so proud of. It will be a wonderful reunion with her when we all get to Heaven!

I knew Eula May first as a customer, then as a friend. We had so many wonderful conversations over the years as she came to get her hair done. She was one of the most happy, positive people I’ve ever known. What a witness to her faith in God. She wanted more than anything to know that her family will be with her for eternity.
Dennis Allen Gabbert says
My mother was everything to me. She did not work outside our home, during my pre school years. She always was looking after me, calling me on the phone often when I moved away. She was my best friend. She did everything for me when my health failed. She saw to it that I got REAL help. She always supported me. 20 hours before she died she greeted me with the only sound she could make, ” oh, oh”. I will see her in heaven. She was a saint for sure. I love you Mother with all my heart forever!
