Eunice Delores (Tritt) Sheperd went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 6 2022. She was 92 years old.
Eunice was born and spent her early years in eastern Pennsylvania. She attended Nursing School in Youngstown Ohio and remained close to many of her graduating class throughout her life. After graduation, she worked as a Registered Nurse in a Youngstown area hospital where she met her adoring husband Albert when she was caring for his mother after she fell and broke her hip.
After marrying, she lived in Canfield Ohio for over 50 years where she was an active member of the Canfield United Methodist Church. Eunice enjoyed singing in the choir, attending bible study and the lifelong friends that the church community provided.
An avid gardener, Eunice spent countless hours improving her environment no matter where she lived. She and Albert always had a large garden at their home in Canfield which provided food year round for the family. She especially loved caring for her flower beds and adorned them with bird feeders which provided an outlet for her love of nature.
Eunice also loved to bake and entertain family and friends at her home in Canfield. After taking a cake decorating class she lovingly created doll cakes and fancy chocolate Easter eggs for family and friends.
A resident of Peachtree City for the last 20+ years, she was a member of the Peachtree City Methodist Church.
Eunice leaves behind daughters Terri Niebes (David), Cheryl Sheperd, and Barbara Tillman (Robert), one sister Myrnice Forte, nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Greeting her on the other side are her parents, Ada and Arlen Tritt, her husband Albert Sheperd, brothers Eugene Smith and Ralph Tritt and sisters Margaret Wise and Lois Guillard.
Funeral services to celebrate Eunice’s long and loving life will be held 2 PM Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church 225 Robinson Rd. Peachtree City GA 30269.
