Everett Martin-Vaughn Villarreal was born November 17, 2019 in Columbus, Georgia to Melissa Ann Villarreal and Montgomery Lee-Navar Meredith. Little Everett was born premature, but he had the heart of a fighter. He had his dad’s flat feet and indented chin and sported his mother’s tan skin. He had a birthmark on his left foot and his toothless smile and crinkled nose could light up any room. He was beginning to learn to roll over and his favorite activity was playing with his big brother, Ezra.
Everett Martin-Vaughn Villarreal passed away unexpectedly March 13, 2020 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown. He is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Janet Vaughn and great-grandfather, Johnny Martin Meredith.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Montomery Lee-Navar Meredith and Melissa Ann Villarreal of Columbus, Georgia; brother, Ezra Navar Meredith; maternal grandparents, Melanie Villarreal and Doc Villarreal; paternal grandparents, Amanda “YaYa” Cox, Keith “Pop Pop” Cox, Micheal “Paw Paw” Krout and Kim “Gi Gi” Mitchum; aunts and uncles, Stacey, Nene, Justin, Makala, Meredith, Bane, Keyondrick, Deyon, and Joseph; and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will hold a private celebration of life service for Everett at a later date. Please respect the family’s privacy at this time.
The family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 7500 Veterans Parkway, Suite A, Columbus, GA 31909, 706-577-0055. The family invites you to leave a condolence or share a fond memory below.

Chris and I wish you and the family so much love and pass on our condolences for you, Monty, and baby Ezra. We wish we had had the chance to meet this beautiful boy but God had other intentions and took him home. We can see from your pictures that he had a sparkle in those big eyes and we know that he was loved and cherished by everyone, especially his parents. He knew he was loved and that was the best thing you could do as his parents. It doesn’t matter the quantity of time you have with your loved ones as much as the quality. We know you cherished each moment. Hold those memories close in your heart. We love you!

I hope there is peace and comfort knowing that as much of a blessing that Everett was to all of you, the blessing of love he received from your family and friends was equally amazing and wonderful!

I am so sorry to hear about baby Everett. It’s really sad. This promise from God will comfort you. Acts 24:15: “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” Soon you will see and play with your baby again. In the meantime, our caring God will give you strength and courage to cope with your grief.
