Frank Parker Meredith, age 79, of Fayetteville, passed away August 21, 2021.
Frank was born in Montgomery, Alabama on April 17, 1942. He spent his early years in Alabama and also lived in Key West, FL and Charleston, SC. In 1978 he was wed to Judy Lynn Meredith. The couple settled in Fayetteville, Georgia, where they raised their family.
Frank had a long career as a meat cutter. He worked in many areas of the meat cutting industry including sales and even owned a convenience store. When Frank wasn’t working he was enjoying his motorcycles. In his early days, he even raced motorcycles. Frank was easy-going and funny. He was known to always be happy. Frank got along with everyone. He never met a stranger. Frank will be remembered by his joyous spirit and quirky jokes that live on through his daughters.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Bette Meredith, and his late canine companion Chloe. He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Judy Lynn Meredith of Fayetteville; daughters: Kelly Meredith of Hampton, Kristy Meredith of Fayetteville and Deanne (Robert) Jones of Douglasville; grandchildren: Hannah, Roman, Ryder, McKenzie, Frank, Jennifer and Brandon; great-grandchildren: Ellie, Ellyson and Emery; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bob and Mary Lee Meredith of Prattville, AL and Billy and Mae Meredith of Montgomery, AL; beloved dog Drake and grand-dog Shadow.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Frank’s honor from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM at Flat Creek Baptist Church, 161 Flat Creek Trail, Fayetteville. The service will be immediately followed by a reception at the home of Kristy Meredith. The Meredith family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 1086 Hwy 54 West, Fayetteville.
