Ms. Nancy “Gail” Chambers, age 74, of Fayetteville, formerly of Carrollton, GA, passed away September 26, 2019.
Gail was born in Atlanta, GA, on July 3, 1945 to the late Frederick and Mildred Randall. She grew up in the Hapeville area. Gail spent many years working in warehousing but her heart was in cooking, which she turned into catering for many friends and family. With her delicious recipes, Gail catered events and even baked wedding cakes. Potato salad and dressing were her specialties.
Gail was of the Baptist faith but visited many churches, more recently attending a Pentecostal Church. She was sassy and a bit stubborn but also very giving. She was a collector of porcelain dolls and carousels. One of her favorite hobbies was always looking for yard sales and finding those special treasures. She had a heart for dogs, particularly her “Little Boy” and “Little Girl” she had for many years. Affectionately known as “Tooter” and “Fancy Nancy,” Gail had an unforgettable smile. She spent her last few years surrounded by family, eating her favorite treats, Nutty Buddies and lemon pepper wings, and playing her favorite game, Bingo.
Along with her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her husband: Gary Chambers; children: Wayne Myrick Jr. and Randall Dean Daniel; step-sister: Jeannette Camp Campbell; brothers: Frederick Elihu Randall Jr. and Gary Lee Randall. She is survived by her children: Katherine Louise Daniel Buchanan, Jamie Daniel, Angela Wright and fiancé Landon Pryor, Kevin Chambers and Amber Nicole Chambers; 9 grandchildren: 7 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law: Joyce and Randy Waits, step-brothers and their spouses: Stanley and Wanda Camp, and Kenny and Carolyn Camp; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on October 13, 2019 from 2 PM to 4 PM at Prime Events, 240 North Jeff Davis Drive, Fayetteville,GA 30214. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gail’s honor to Southwest Christian Care (7225 Lester Road, Union City, GA 30291) or the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org). The Chambers family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 1086 Hwy 54 West, Fayetteville. Messages of condolence may be left at www.GeorgiaCremation.com.

My sweet aunt Gail. We have lots of memories during Holidays and special occasions growing up but my fondest memories of her were she always played with my hair. I would lay in her lap and she would always be silly with my hair. My last visit with her she did just that. We always giggled with our little inside jokes and she taught me everything I knew about catering and putting your heart in whatever it was you did. I will miss her infectious giggle and smile but I will never forget her.

To Amber and Joyce, my heart hurts for the loss of a mother and a sister. May you both find comfort and peace knowing that this is just the start of her journey now that her time is up here. Know that Jesus welcomed her into to heaven not only as saint but as his sister. I pray that in the coming days you all will be filled with the peace and love of God.
