Gerald Walter Smith, 58, of College Park, passed away May 14, 2017 as a result of a heart attack.

Gerald was born October 8, 1958 at Kennestone Hospital. He attended Georgia State College where he was a member of the water ski team and the velodrome racing team. He enjoyed cross country cycling. He also enjoyed observed trails and motocross.

Gerald is survived by his parents: Charles and Betty Smith of Tyrone; brother and sister-in-law: David and Stephanie Smith of Alpharetta; brother: Mike Smith of Tyrone; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service was held for Gerald in Tyrone on May 19, 2017.
