Harrison David “Harry” Gottfried, age 63 of Duluth, GA, formerly a resident of Pine Bush, NY and The Woodlands, TX, died Thursday, July 23, 2020 at his home in Duluth.

I was saddened to hear of Harry’s passing; he was a special neighbor and I hope he considered me a friend as well. Harry would do anything to help if he could until his recent health issues slowed him down. I admired that about him and hoped his health improved quickly. Mary and I would have attended the service if not for our fear of the pandemic. I am sorry we couldn’t be there to pay our last respects. I know Tina and Amanda and all of his family will miss Harry. We remember him fondly.

Hello, this is Melissa Myers, I just found out about Harrison’s passing. I’m so sorry to here about him passing. He was still so young, only 63. I’m not sure why no one let me know. I’m easy to find on line. What was the cause of his untimely passing? Was he sick? Harrison and I do have a son together Noah Riley Gottfried. He is turning 17 December 22 2020. He has asked about his dad and was contemplating reaching out to him. I guess he waited to long. I will be sharing this with him. He will be completely hurt. Please what ever you do dont be ugly or inconsiderate to my son if he has any questions. Thank you, Melissa

I was saddened by reading of your loss of Harrison and my condolences to all who knew and loved him. I knew Harrison and his whole family many years ago (60+) when both of our families had summer homes in Lake Carmel, N.Y. I was friends with both of his siblings, Joan and Richard, as well. I still have a wonderful photo portrait of him that I took when he was quite a young boy and will make it available to anyone who requests it.

For some reason I thought of Harrison only to find out he passed. Harrison and I were from the same town in New York, I knew him well. I had a B&W photo of him when he was a little boy. I’m smiling to hear of his 5 children and grandbaby. My condolences to his family, God Bless.
