Dr. Howard J Widden Jr passed away on January 22, 2018, after a short illness at the age of 87.
Dr. Widden retired from the USAF in 1975, then worked for the Navy, Army, and HUD in the Federal Civil Service, retiring again in 1993. Dr. Widden specialized in establishing staffing standards for military hospitals and base operations functions worldwide. Dr. Widden enjoyed boating and was an avid golfer.
Dr. Widden is survived by wife Laura D. Widden of Jonesboro, Georgia, son Steven M. Widden of Hampton, Virginia, daughter Sherry A. Logue of Saint Albans, Maine, Grandchildren Corey Widden, Hayley Widden, Andrew Rush and wife Wendy, and great granddaughter Peyton Rush.
