Jack Sam Burnett, Jr., age 56, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with cholangiocarcinoma. Born on January 21, 1968, Jack lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep devotion to his family, friends, and passions.
Jack married his soulmate, Kristin Leigh Sizemore, in April of 1995, and together they built a life centered around love, laughter, and togetherness. He was a devoted husband, an adoring father, and a proud grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife Kristin, his sister Lisa Jurchenko (Andrew Jurchenko), and his three cherished daughters: Emma Burnett Webb (Chris Webb), Claire Burnett Wilson (Max Wilson), and Alyce Burnett Head (Wesley Head). His sons-in-law, whom he lovingly referred to as his “best friends,” were a source of pride and joy. Above all, Jack was the proud grandfather of his precious granddaughter Eleanor (“Ellie”) Webb, the light of his life.
Throughout his career at Union Drycleaning Products, Jack dedicated himself wholeheartedly, forging lifelong friendships and leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with. He was passionate about travel, never turning down a Disney cruise, a vacation to 30A, or a trip to Disney World, but his greatest passion by far was his family—his “Ohana.” His favorite moments were spent with his loved ones, no matter the occasion, as long as they were together.
Jack was an avid fan of Harry Potter and all things Disney, but nothing compared to the love and devotion he had for his family. His wife Kristin was not only his partner in life but also his best friend and the love of his life.
After a year-long, hard-fought battle with cancer, Jack is now at peace, free from pain, and reunited with his beloved mother in heaven. His strength, love, and warmth will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held on Saturday, October 12th at 2 pm at the home of Stephanie and Joel Miller (305 Fallstone Path, McDonough, GA, 30253). In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
Jack’s legacy of love, devotion, and joy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

This story of Jack’s life is exactly who he was. Family first he and Kristin were partners in life and best friends. He told me that many times. His girls were his pride and joy, he was always talking about their accomplishments. And now his first grandchild he loved that.
For me he was my Boss and a friend someone you could always count on to make the right decision.
We will all miss him terribly every day and we all feel robbed that we have lost such a good person at such a young age. It’s heartbreaking for so many. We love you.
Kelly Kelleher says
My favorite College Game Day friend! May he find peace with his mother in his eternal home. He will be greatly missed.

Jack was a unique individual. He loved his work, his associates and he had an over whelming desire to be forward focused on always delighting his customers – of which I was one. I never had the pleasure of meeting his family but knowing Jack the way I did, I can only imagine the love and joy he shared with them. I am sad he is gone but I am richer because of him!

I don’t think there was ever a conversation I had with Jack that we spoke more than 5 minutes about dry cleaning equipment, and the remainder of time he was delighted to compare Disney World notes with me. In fact, he was so knowledgeable he could have been my travel agent. LOL. We even just missed each other a couple times while visiting the “happiest place on earth.” He was a great trade partner and even better person. Jack, Godspeed on the Magical Express into Heaven. Wishing Kristin and the rest of his family peace and strength during this difficult time.

How fortunate was I that for 23 years I worked in the dry cleaning machine business having Jack as my boss. He was the great organizer, administrator, streamliner, overly fair, calm, cool, and collective boss. Jack was the great problem solver. Never one to raise his voice, let’s just look at the facts and figure out how to handle it. But more than anything Jack’s true passions were Kristin and his three girls. I too am a Father and never tired of hearing Jack talk about “ girls and their great family vacations. I listened with awed envy of their great family vacations. Jack could walk softly, quietly, and throw a large shadow. RIP Jack, you were a role model to me and will be sorely misssed by so many.

Kristin,
So sorry for your loss. Jack was more a brother than a friend. He and all the Uniton staff has always made me feel like family when traveling for work and doing shows. We shared photos and stories of our daughters throughout the years as they grew up. He will be missed.

I first meet Jack some 25 years ago when i became a Union distributor and can also say there was no conversation that ended without talking about family or a recent trip from both sides being of similar age. My last visit to his office a few years ago for a tour ended up with a conversation that changed my out look on life which at the time was work first! He said ” work is work, but family is always first and everything worth working for”.
From me and my crew at M&R Machinery our sincere condolences to his family and co-workers. Rest in peace now Jack and dave me a seat on the its a small world ride.
