Jakeob Steele Bennett passed away on February 3, 2026, in Columbus, Georgia, at the age of 24. Born on May 24, 2001, in the same city he called home throughout his life, Jakeob’s journey was marked by resilience and the enduring support of those who loved him.

Known to many simply as Steele, he faced life’s challenges with quiet strength. Though his years were few, they were filled with meaningful connections and moments shaped by the unwavering love of family and friends. His presence brought light to those around him, and his absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of many.

Jakeob is lovingly remembered by his parents, Wendy and Mark Bennett; his brothers, Stone Moore and Slade Moore; his grandmother Betty Moore; his aunts Cindy (with Allen) and Lindy (with Justin); along with many cousins and loved ones who held him dear.

Steele’s memory will live on through the lives he touched. May his spirit bring comfort to all who knew him and may he rest peacefully in the embrace of the Lord.
