James “Thomas” Pannell was called to his eternal home March 28, 2023. He was born November 4, 1956 in LaGrange, GA to James Jack Pannell and Annie Bell Moody Pannell who both preceded him in death. He was a resident of LaGrange, GA and lived there all his life. He was a farmer for most of his life and most recently worked as a car salesman. Thomas was preceded in death by brothers Ricky Lamar Pannell and Dan Joseph Pannell. His is survived by his children Brandi Leigh Pannell Williams and Justin Thomas Pannell (Dawn Stone), grandchildren Hunter Williams, Tyler Williams, Paige Pannell, Reagan Pannell, Taylor Jones, Cameron Jones, and Jules Stone, cousins Susan Sharp, Kevin Pannell, Victor Pannell and Dale Castillo, nephew Ryan Pannell, ex-wife and caregiver Nancy Hinckley (Jeff), mother-in-law Kathryn Rhodes and extended family Danny Barintine (Rhonda), Ross Barintine (Sarah), children Bo and Ellie Barintine, and JJ and Ginger Wahl, children Tipp, Trenity, Paisley, Jud and Owen Wahl.

The family will be at the home of Nancy Hinckley. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wellstar West Georgia Hospice or the National Kidney Foundation.

Georgia Cremation –  Columbus is assisting the family with arrangements.
