James Thomas Swain, II was born October 19, 1952 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Jim T. and Katie Watson Swain. Mr. Swain was a 1970 graduate of Jordan Vocational High School and a graduate of Columbus College. Mr. Swain was always a very active runner until his health began to deteriorate. He retired from Kinetic (TIC) Credit Union after 34 years of service. He had many joys in life and was known to be quite the jokester with his witty sense of humor. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and could be heard often cheering “Go Dawgs” on any fall Saturday they were on the field. He was a devoted man of God, which was also felt in his quiet strength. He was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church.
James Thomas Swain, II passed away on November 19, 2020 at Magnolia Manor at the age of 68 after a long hard battle with Alzheimers. He was a genuine and good man and a role model of a good father, friend, and follower of God.

So sorry, I knew Tom when we were both young at Calvary Baptist Church. Hadn’t seen him in years but remember his wonderful attitude. Hate he suffered from Alzheimer’s, my mother had it and suffered greatly. I’m sure he’s clear of mind now in Heaven. God bless
Debbie Smith says
When we first visited Calvary Baptist Church in 1989, I remember in Sunday School, Cindy & Tom Swain.
She talked to us and made us feel welcomed. Tom was by her side with that quiet, kind welcome as well.
They made an impression on me.
I know that the man he was then will be the one remembered.
Praying for peace,
William and Debbie Smith
