Jarrett Ramos

Share

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

Jarrett Ramos, 53, passed on from this life on June 23, 2025.

Jarrett was born in Atlanta, GA to parents Brenda Bartlett Adams and Marvin Ramos.

Jarrett’s family moved to Fayette County in 1975. He grew up in Peachtree City where he and his great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, sister, aunt, uncles, and cousins were charter members of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Jarrett spent most summers of his childhood on Lake Burton and was always the first to jump in the lake after the water levels rose for the season. He learned to water ski at age five and by age six was known for athletic slalom stunts greeted with enthusiastic delight from friends and family aboard the family’s ski boat.

He was also an accomplished equestrian competitor, winning numerous first place blue ribbons in cross country courses. He was a darn good tennis player, too!

Jarrett loved scenic road trips with good friends. Whether driving to Helen, GA to join in the “Chicken Dance” during Oktoberfest or en route to Panama City Beach for sand, surf, and blue sky, you could always count on some spirited revelry and mischief accompanied by his deeply dimpled grin and sparkling eyes.

He is preceded in death by many of his closest childhood friends, as well as his grandparents, B.A. and Carolyn Bartlett, and Marion and Betty Ramos; uncles M. Barry Bartlett, Sr. and Brian Bartlett; aunt Marian Louise Smith, and his beloved dog, Scruffy.

Jarrett is survived by his father, mother, and sister, Faith Ramos, his stepfather, Johnny Adams, stepbrother Johnny “JM” Adams, and stepsister Traci Phillips, as well as numerous cousins and close family friends.

He is remembered as a dearly loved son, brother, and friend.

The Ramos family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation, 1086 Hwy 54 West, Fayetteville.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Jarrett’s family and friends on their loss. May he rest in peace.

    Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
    That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
    which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

    Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
    that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
    There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you.
    For an interval.
    Somewhere. Very near.
    Just around the corner.

    All is well.

    – Henry Scott Holland

Jarrett as he ventured through his life was always looking for peace and calm. Even as a child he was a great skier but still he always wanted to be on the lake during calm waters. It wasn’t that it made easier skiing it was so he could enjoy the beauty around him as he skied beautiful Burton. His love of his pets, especially Scruffy, was an indication of the love he had and wanted to share with this world. He has found peace now, no worries, no pain and his love is set free in all that knew him. Jarrett left Joan and I with so many wonderful memories of vacations and special events. May our Heavenly Father wrap His loving arms around Marvin, Brenda, Johnny and their families.

I was so very saddened to hear that Jarrett had passed. There are no adequate words to say to a mother, father and sister when they have lost a beloved son and brother. My thoughts and condolences go out to you.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.”

    ~Romans 8:38-39

You are loved and missed. Be at peace, sweet cousin.

I’m so very sorry to hear this news. I love the reference to his dimples, it’s the first thing I see in my mind when I think of him. There was a lot of sweetness in that smile. My love and prayers for you all during this very difficult time.

We didn’t know Jarrett personally but do know his mom, dad, stepdad and good friends who loved him. We are so sad that they are all experiencing this awful pain. We know that if we pray for peace and comfort that only Lord Jesus can provide for them that he will prevail and see them through this sad time. May Jarrett rest in paradise and may the sweet memories flood their sad hearts and minds for now and the days to come.
