Jean Lammons, born Evie Jean Thaxton, age 75 of Athens, Georgia, died Thursday, January 30, 2014. Jean was the daughter of the late Grady Thaxton and Ruth Wages of Athens, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her infant son Scott, and survived by her Three sons, Joe Smith of Dusseldorf Germany, Keith Loggins of Winterville, Georgia and James Loggins of Winterville, Georgia. Her two daughters Julie LaMadrid of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Lisa Milton of Lilburn, Georgia. Her brother Jim Morgan of Winterville, Georgia. She also had 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Jean worked as a legal secretary in Athens, Georgia and Montgomery, Alabama until her retirement. She had a passion for reading, politics, history, and animal welfare.
