Jerry Levi Gunn, age 84, of Hogansville, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia.
Born January 10, 1934, Atlanta Georgia, he was the son of William and Evelyn (Crook) Gunn. He worked for many years for Ford Motor Company in Hapeville, Georgia.
Jerry was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and would sit around in the evenings and play guitar in his retirement.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Roberta (Hendrickson) Gunn of Hogansville; five sons, William “Blaine” (Regina) Gunn of Hiawassee GA, Steven (Debbie) Gunn of Macon GA, Charles (Priscilla) Gunn of Newnan GA, Warren “Skip” (Barbara) Call of Stockbridge GA, James (Marie) Call of Greenville GA; fifteen grandchildren; and many many great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Sylvia (David) Chadwick of Doraville GA and Karen (Bruce) Rainwater of Gainesville GA; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Butch Crook; four sisters, Gail Summerlyn, Sandra Stover, Elizabeth Price, and Jackie Coggins; daughter, Sharon Cody; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering for Jerry Gunn will be held at 2pm, Saturday October 6th, 2018 at Bible Baptist Church, 275 Hillcrest Rd., Hogansville, GA 30230.
