Jim Rex Daniels, 1942 – 2023

Jim Rex Daniels, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, 13 June 2023. Jim was born in Annabella, Utah on December 21, 1942, the son of Paul M. and Fauntell (Thurston) Daniels. He graduated from South Sevier High School and then served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Great Britain, where Marion D. Hanks was his mission president. In 1969 he graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Business Management. Jim spent his working life in the Food Service and Hospitality business.

In 1964, he and his sweetheart, Joann Schmidt, were joined for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple by Elder Hanks. 

He and Joann have two daughters, Kimberly, who died in 1972 at age six, and Kelly (Derrick) Blauer, and a granddaughter, Zoey M. Blauer.
