Jimmy C. Moss, 85, a lifelong resident of McDonough, GA passed away June 27, 2026. He was predeceased by his parents Homer Curtis and Bertha Lucile Morris; two brothers and one sister.

Jimmy served in the US Navy from 1957 – 1961 and then served in the SEABEES. He spent 27 years working at MARTA. Jimmy enjoyed farming and raising cattle.  He was an avid gardener. Jimmy enjoyed helping others and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a longtime member of Sardis Baptist Church in McDonough, GA.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rachel King Moss; sons Charles “Kip” (Angela), Keith (Charlin), Kelly (Stephanie “Jette”), and Jason Lee Moss; sister, Jewell Harper; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation for Jimmy will be at 10:00AM, with Funeral Service to follow at 11:00AM on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Sardis Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Tommy Kennedy and Dr. Don Long. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church Building Fund.
