Jimmy Wade Weaver, Sr., 74 of Juniper, GA passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the home of his daughter in Salem, AL. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the home of his daughter, Shanderly Smith, beginning at 12:00 noon. The address for the gathering is 640 Lee Road 2071, Salem, AL 36874.
Mr. Weaver was born November 6, 1947 in Marion County, GA the son of John Wesley Weaver, Jr and Dell Rutherford Weaver. He grew up in Marion County and began work as a teenager in the logging business. He later worked for Fieldcrest Mill in Columbus before returning to logging until his retirement in 2019. Mr. Weaver enjoyed fishing and was an avid Crimson Tide fan. Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings, his daughter, Tammy Lynn Weaver, his son, Jimmy W. Weaver, Jr. and a grandson, Paul Justin Smith.
Survivors include his daughter Shanderly Smith (Paul) of Salem; four grandsons, Kevin Wade Weaver (Amanda), Devin Lee Weaver (Karoline), Walter Lee Walker (Candice) and Jacob Taylor Smith (Ashley); one brother, James Harold Weaver (Diane) of Weston, GA and one sister, Patricia Ammons (Avery) of Buena Vista, GA.
Georgia Cremation – Columbus is assisting the family.

Shan, I am so sorry about your dad. You and Paul are in my prayers. My prayers go out to Lee and Candice on loosing both of their Granfathers in less than a week apart. I also pray for Hanes and Dianne as I know this has also been hard on him. Jumbo was a very loved man by his family and he was veryloved by family and friends. I love all of you.
