John Henry Harvey passed from this life on December 24, 2025. John was born on March 2, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia, to parents Johnnie and Judy Harvey. John grew up in the Griffin area and attended Jonesboro High School.

John met and married Judy Dockery. The two were happily married for 24 years. They spent over 20 years residing in Fairburn, Georgia. John had a career as a truck driver for various trucking companies for over 40 years.

John was a man of strong faith as a member of The Rock Baptist Church in Fayetteville, GA. He enjoyed collecting antiques such as vinyls and model cars. John had a love for baseball. He enjoyed going to hit in the batting cages in his younger years. He also enjoyed listening to music, his favorite being Rockabilly.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Harvey, his parents, Johnnie and Judy Harvey, his brother, Franklin Harvey, and his sister, Jeannie Harvey.

He is survived by his son; Johnny and Allison Harvey of Valrico, Fl, his step-son; Steven and Leslie Black of Newnan, GA, his step-son, Charles Black of Rome, GA, his grandchildren; Mylee, Brooklyn, Naomi, and Skylar Harvey, Alyssa and Addi Black, his siblings; Janet Dockery of Temple, GA, Mike and Yvonne Harvey of Gay, GA, Timmy Harvey of Carrollton, GA, Judith and Rusty Salter of Thomaston, GA.
