John Perry Noessel passed away Sunday morning, March 23, 2025, atPiedmont Midtown hospital at the age of 74, after a brief illness. His sister and brother-in-law were present at his bedside.
John leaves behind a brother, numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his devoted husband of forty-four years, Tim Concelman.
He was born in Houston, Texas, and lived there until early last year, when he moved to Columbus, Georgia. He graduated from Houston’s Reagan High School and attended the University of Houston.
John was a printer by trade, and he operated his own award-winning printing business for many years. He loved dogs. John and his little dog Miley were inseparable. He was an expert gardener, he collected and restored antiques, and he loved music. He was a true gentleman and treated everyone he encountered with courtesy and respect.
The family are grateful to the compassionate staff at Piedmont ICU who cared for John as the end approached, the staff at Legacy Reserve at Old Town who treated John with extraordinary kindness while he lived there, and especially to his caregiver, Jessica Wiggins, who became like a sister
to him.
John, you will be sorely missed.
