I’m so sorry to hear about Steve’s passing and his long battle with cancer. You and your family will remain in my prayers. I remember him as such a kind person and supporter of his community especially Candlelighters in the years you lived in Fort Myers. He gathered several of his friends to support the annual golf tournament, I can’t say I recall his score being so impressive but he and his friends had fun and were there to support the cause. While your lives moved on and you then relocated back to Georgia, you were never far from my thoughts. May Steve rest in peace and be free of his pain, and may you know friends from near and far are here to support you.

Steve fought the battle of cancer for several years with determination and faith. I’m so glad for him that the battle is over and he is safe in Heaven. We met Steve through Fred Quinn and Bill Maddox when we first started construction on The Forest Country Club. He was attorneys for both of them when they lived in Chicago and in their several ventures in our area. Steve was respected among the law firms both in Chicago and in the Fort Myers and Naples areas. He became a part of our family when I introduced him to my sister Linda and they married. It was an honor to know him. He will be missed by all who knew and respected his ethics as an attorney and his genuineness as a true friend. RIP Steve.
