John Michael Jones, age 67, of Winder, Georgia passed away on March 23, 2016 of congestive heart failure. He was born on October 24, 1948 in Athens, Georgia. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Jones of Commerce, Georgia; and Marvin Lewis Jones of Cordele, Georgia. Survivors include wife, Gail; two brothers, Ray Jones of Commerce, Georgia and Roy Jones of Anderson, South Carolina; 3 sisters, Carolyn Kitchens of Commerce, Georgia, Linda Brake of Commerce, Georgia and Nancy Wilbanks of Sealy, Texas.
Mike was a good brother, always and he will be missed by all, especially his siblings and friends. He was also a great partner and friend to Gail. You were two years older and became brother who was always watchful over me. I will always cherish the laughter that was the result of your humorous jokes. You loved life to the full and always put others first. I know how difficult these past many years have been for you, but you persevered through them awaiting your call to come home…..to the arms of your Lord and Saviour. I suppose you are having a grand ‘ol time with mama, daddy, and Marvin! We will join you one day! RIP brother! Love you forever??
