After a long illness and a short stay at Columbus Hospice, Nita Gale passed away on March 3, 2022. Nita was born in Manassas, Virginia.
She was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1986, and Auburn University, 1993. Nita was self-employed as a web developer architect which used many of her profound talents as an artist, designer, writer and educator. She used her skills to improve websites of small/local nonprofit entities and supported underfunded schools.
She enjoyed many genres of music from Maria Callas to Rock-a-Billy, singing along with her favorite songs. A voracious reader from an early age, she enjoyed Shakespeare as much as Kundera and Isabel Allende. Included in her reading pleasure were novels and comic books as she appreciated the artwork and the storyline.
She is survived by her mother, Margaret Gale, older brother, Harold Gale (Mandy), younger brother Steven Gale, two nephews, Kevin and Stephen Gale, and many, many friends all over the world. Steve described her as a “bold, clever, sophisticated, creative, uncompromising and – above all – a giving big sister. You can celebrate her life by refusing to let anyone deprive you of courage, dignity or purpose”.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.

Nita I am so sorry that I left you in Baltimore…I never realized what love truly was until discovered that you had passed. Our time at CVCC and our reckless dates/adventures highlighted my College years. You made me so proud of your accomplishments in life and the expression of your brutality in opinion left me wondering why we never married and grew appart over time. I loved you and you were my best friend. I am not proud that I left when you needed me. I thought we would have more time… perhaps again in Paradise or Paradox, our true love will again prevail. With all love…A. Venuto aka the
