Mrs. Judith Ann Barbour Bledsoe, age 78, of LaGrange, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 3, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Bledsoe was born on July 21,1940 in Raleigh, NC to the late B. H. Barbour and the late Emily Richardson Barbour. Mrs. Bledsoe was a Registered Nurse and a dependable volunteer. Her many activities began with being a school volunteer and Den Mother to each of her sons. She was named “Volunteer of the Year” while on her way to accruing over 8,000 hours as a Hospital volunteer. Mrs. Bledsoe was involved in many activities in support of the LaGrange First United Methodist Church and she was recognized as “Woman of the Year” for her long-time support of the LaGrange Woman’s Club and Bellevue. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Craig Bledsoe.
Survivors include her husband, Leard Bernard Bledsoe, Jr., her son, David Alan Bledsoe (Mary Kathleen“Kathy”), grandsons, Westin and Keller Bledsoe, her brother, Daniel Barbour (Linda), sister-in law, Kaye France Barbour and many cousins and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be announced in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Woman’s Club Charitable Trust (Bellevue) or to LaGrange First United Methodist Church.
