Judy Rustin Jones passed from this life on February 10, 2026. Judy was born on June 19, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia, to parents Thomas and Lucille Rustin. She lived in various places growing up due to her father’s military career, including Kentucky, Washington, and Thailand. The family eventually settled in the Atlanta area, where Judy graduated from S.W. DeKalb High School.

While in high school, Judy met the love of her life, Mike Jones. The two were married for over 55 years. Judy worked as a dental assistant for many years. She had the joy of being a para pro in the Fayette County School District as well.

Judy was of the Christian faith and had been a member of Greenville Baptist Church. She had a special interest in animals, especially Himalayan cats, miniature collies, and cockatoo birds. She also enjoyed ceramics. More than anything, Judy enjoyed time spent with her husband, Mike.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lucille Rustin, and her siblings, Janet Rustin and Thomas Rustin Jr.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Mike Jones of Fayetteville, GA, her children; Michael Jones Jr. of McDonough, GA, and Victoria Babb of Newnan, GA, and her grandchildren; Bailey Babb, A.J. Babb, Camden Babb, Liam Jones and Erin Jones.

Judy will be remembered for her extremely kind heart.
