Mrs. June Roberts Harwell Dudrow, 88, known affectionately to many as “June Bug”, peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. June formerly resided in Fayetteville, Georgia, where she and Jeff were long-time, active members of Inman United Methodist Church. June was a cherished resident of Brightmoor Senior Living from March 2019 until her passing.
June was born in June 25, 1935, in Glencoe, Alabama, to Harold Hawthorne Roberts and Mabel Hughes Roberts. She married the love of her life, Jeff Harwell, Jr., on November 25, 1954, and together they lovingly raised two daughters, Teresa Clements (Kelvin) and Sandy Clark (David). After Jeff’s passing in 1996, June found happiness again with Frank Dudrow, to whom she was married from 1999 until his passing in 2004.
In addition to her parents and husbands, June was preceded in death by her sisters: Jackie and Joann; and her stepson: Joe Dudrow. She found joy in square dancing, line dancing, crocheting, solving crossword puzzles, time on the beach, and time spent with her family.
June is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Teresa and Kelvin Clements, and Sandy and David Clark; her five grandchildren: Candis Prewitt (Clint), Melinda Blodgett (Rob), Joe Arrington, Katie Turnbull (Iain), and Sterling Rawdin; as well as her seven great-grandchildren: Caleb Prewitt, Lily-June Prewitt, Brooklynn Blodgett, Jillian Blodgett, Benjamin Blodgett, Aubrie Turnbull, and Leo Turnbull. To these “grands” and to many others, she was known and loved as Nonnie. She is also survived by her stepchildren: Tassy Eigel, Teresa Kissell, Rose Phillips, Jean McKittrick, and Marty Dudrow.
A private service to celebrate June’s life will be held at a later date.
The Dudrow family is being assisted by Georgia Cremation- Fayetteville, 1086 Hwy 54 W, Fayetteville, GA 30214.
