In Memory
Stories untold, a sad day unfolds, the truth we may never know-
Feelings run deep, dry eyes hard to keep, God please rest her soul-
Let me take you on a journey, not really sure where I should begin-
This may be a wild ride, written by next of kin-
Born Kathy Lee Hash on 6/18/57, but most knew her by the name of Lee-
I’m sure her friends out there would say she touched a lot of people’s hearts, oh Lord can’t you see what that woman been doing to me-
I know she leaves an imprint on people’s passions and desires-
Artistic ability runs deep, we pray her soul to keep, she was definitely the igniter of the fires-
Sometimes during hardship we may think life is not really Fair-
I’m sure Lilith would agree, the stage is set for grief, you can feel it in the air-
Tonight is not about death, but rather a celebration of what’s to come-
She would say karma runs deep, awaken from her sleep, a new life has begun-
A daughter, a sister, an aunt, and of course a loving friend-
Always willing to help the less fortunate, she was ride or die till the end-
Halloween was her day to shine, a master carver to say the least-
A family united, Ichabod Crane, a hot dog and chili feast-
Ascension to a new life, hopefully one with better days-
No more pain and suffering, health and prosperity in every way-
Some may ask the girls, how long till our souls get it right-
The colors between blue and violet, Lee moves on to the afterlife-
Somewhere out there a chime rings, blowing in the wind-
A dream catcher opens up, spirits run free, it’s the beginning and not the end-
Lee walked her own walk, paved her own way, if you knew her you would definitely say so-
Somewhere out there a new pup is being born, it could be Kismet or maybe Diego-
To some this may seem confusing, you have to focus on the lines in between-
If you really knew Lee from beginning to the end, you’ll know exactly what this means-
I still can’t believe it’s real, I know I have so much more to say-
As cliché as it sounds it always rings true, we all wish we had one more day-
I hope you know we love you, but a farewell we must forebode-
5/02/23 a new life will begin but this particular chapter comes to a close-
Georgia Cremation in Duluth is assisting the family with end-of-life care for Kathy Lee Hash.

Melissa Vines says
I met Lee in the late 70’s.
Lee loved and took in the almost unlovable. She was so honest that it could be frightening, until you got to know her, and her honesty was her love. Her love and passion for music and dance was like no other, and I took the music she shared as a huge treasure through my life. She stays on with us, and the love she gave us all stays forever.
