King K. Perry was born to the late Rev. Joseph Perry Sr & Edna Ruth Perry on August 20, 1954. King was the fourth born child of his big family. He was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina with his siblings Ernest Perry, Sarah Arnold (Roger), Min. Priscilla Perry Givens, Dec. I. Davey Perry (Susie), TerriyLee Cooper Moore, Daniel Perry (Pearl Ann),  Jerry Perry,  Joseph Perry, and Joseph Malachi Tindal were born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina.

King has always been hardworking, discipline, and determined; qualities that allowed to excel within his army career. During his 21 years of service, he was awarded a Bronze  Star Medal, an Army Commendation Medal (3rd Award), an Army Achievement Award (3rd Award), an Army Good Conduct Medal  (6th Award), a National Defense Service medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Star (BSS), Noncommissioned Officer’s Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral 3, an Army Service Ribbon, an Overseas Service Ribbon  (5th Award), Kuwait Liberation Medal (K), Kuwait liberation Medal (SA). After the Military, he served another 20 years in the workforce, before returning back to college for carpentry. He loved to build things with his hands from scratch, fish, and garden, as well as being an amazing cook.

His children Leslie Perry, Gustavious Perry, Faith Horton (Brandon), and Sasha as well as, his best friend of over 40 years, Stephanie Perry, will miss him dearly. He is survived by his estranged wife, Marlo. On February 9, 2025, King K Perry transitioned into the afterlife surrounded by the love and care of his family and loved ones.

The funeral service for King will be held at 3:00pm Friday, February 14, 2025, at the chapel of Cox Funeral Home, 240 Walton Street Hamilton, Georgia. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service.

Georgia Cremation – Columbus is assisting the family with the arrangements.
