I am so sorry for your loss. Christian was such a great person, funny and different but the good kind of different and we as a nation lost a great hero and my heart breaks for you Mr. and Mrs. Phillips. Rest assured that he has been called back to our Father and the Lord is with you in this time of grieving.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit-Psalm 34:18.
I have prayed for your family since I found out and you will continue to be in my prayers.
Jesse Encinas, Lance Corporal USMC says
Brother I miss you. We spoke not less than 20 days ago. You are the most down to earth Marine I could of ever met. The times we shared were a mix of joy and sadness. Camp Lejeune really made us close. You are and will always be my brother and I am proud to call you mine. I will always hail you as family and one day we will meet again. Take care as you guard over your family and Marines from heaven while we drink with you down here. BEEEST 8 was more than just a class, its a family, and you were definitely the the most outspoken, and gallant of us all, and I’m sure Gunnery Sergeant Hoy is proud to claim you as his Marine.
Until our next meeting, Semper Fidelis.

I just saw Christian a few months ago, and this is such a shocker to happen so such a young and brave person. I always remembered him for being brave for being who he was and was always genuine to not only other people, but also to himself.
You will be remembered my friend.
