Laura DuBois Widden passed away at the age of 88 on October 7, 2022. She was born in Burlington, Vermont, on October 9, 1933. Laura was born to the late Wilfred and Mary (Dupont) Dubois. Laura had a sweet disposition, was easy to talk to and a happy person that smiled and laughed easily. She loved music, loved to dance, and enjoyed watching golf and football. Those who know her felt extremely lucky to have shared life with her. She has loved well and she was well loved.
She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Howard J. Widden Jr. She is survived by her son Steven Widden of Hampton, Virginia, daughter Sherry Logue and her husband Steve of Saint Albans, Maine, grandson Corey Widden and wife Jennifer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, grandson Andrew Rush and his wife Wendy of Mount Vernon, Indiana, Hayley Greco and her husband Nick of Austin, Texas, and great grandchildren Peyton Rush of Mount Vernon Indiana and Wyatt Widden of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

She was the best mother in law you could ask for. She loved the outdoors and even driving my tractor. We have many good times together in the 33 years that I knew her. She will be greatly missed. My love too you Laura.

Just learned about Laura’s passing. She was one of my favorite people. I first met her when I worked with Howard at Fort Gillem. Laura was such a fun loving, happy person. She made everyone smile. I count myself lucky to have been her friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
