Leona Dana Watts, 49, born in Titusville, Florida, passed away on December 30, 2025, in Columbus, Georgia.
A beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend, Leona lived a life deeply rooted in faith, love, and selfless service to others. Her legacy will endure through the cherished memories of those who knew and loved her. Leona is survived by her father, Leon D. Watts; her children, Delaney, Deleiah, Daethon Freeney, and Daniel Barrow; her siblings, twin sister Leann D. Watts-Williams (Wakili), Tiffany Daughtry, and Leon D. Watts, IV. Many other family members and friends are also left to mourn her passing, remembering her warmth and compassion.
Leona was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Diane Kent, and both her paternal and maternal grandparents. Her indomitable spirit and unwavering love for her family will be fondly remembered and missed by all.
A Celebration of Life honoring Leona Dana Watts will be held on January 17, 2026, at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, located at 2015 Lake Bradford Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32310. The event will commence at 11:00 AM and conclude at 1:00 PM. Friends and loved ones are invited to join in celebrating the beautiful life she led and the profound impact she made on so many.
Leona’s life was a testament to her resilience, and she will always be remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to her family and friends.
