Lilian Joyful Dixon (French), our beloved daughter, sister, and friend, went home to be with Jesus on January 17, 2026, at the age of 24. While our hearts ache in her absence, we are grateful for the gift of her life and the gentle beauty she shared with all who knew her.
Born on April 21, 2001, Lilian grew up in Braselton, Georgia. From an early age, she possessed a quiet warmth that drew people to her. Her smile was radiant and could light up a room. Her love for others came naturally. She never met a stranger. She had a tender heart for everyone she encountered, especially those who felt unseen, hurting, or downtrodden. Lilian made them feel seen, valued, and uplifted. She was always able to listen with patience and compassion, offering comfort, wisdom, and encouragement to her friends.
Lilian loved to laugh! She was funny and quick-witted, always making jokes. She loved stand-up comedy. She was thoughtful and intelligent, attending college while still in high school, and she carried a lifelong love of learning. Creativity flowed through her in many forms. She loved to decorate. Lilian attended Lanier Technical College to pursue a degree in Cosmetology. She delighted in styling her friends’ hair, applying makeup, painting nails, and taking care of the smallest detail—not out of vanity, but from a sincere desire to help others feel confident and beautiful. In this way, she was able to lift up those around her. But her real goal was to one day get a Psychology degree so that she could be equipped to help others deal with their inner wounds.
She was gorgeous inside and out. Her big brown eyes were captivating. Lilian found joy in books, music, and dance. She loved to sing; her voice was beautiful and expressive, and she enjoyed painting peaceful landscape scenes that reflected the beauty she carried within. She saw the best in others, protected those she loved, and forgave freely and without hesitation.
Her love for her family and friends was deep and unwavering. Spending time with her cousins and especially her little nephew, Jah, gave her so much joy. She loved animals, especially her little fur baby, Osa. Lilian loved Jesus and knew that she was a child of God. She will be remembered for her tender heart, her radiant smile, her quick wit, and the deep love that she shared with others. She will be truly missed by the many friends and family members whose lives were impacted by her.
“While we grieve, we know that Lilian is free! She is healed and at peace with Jesus, and we hold firmly to the promise that one day we will be united with her again.”
