Lillian Irene Sensing, age 60, of Union City passed away June 27, 2019.
Lillian was born on October 25, 1958 in Atlanta, Ga., to John and Hazel (Pelfrey) Cothran. She grew up in the Fairburn/Palmetto area with her parents and four siblings. Lillian graduated from Campbell High School and soon after married the love of her life, Robert. It was love at first sight with she and Robert, and they were married for 43 loving years. The couple settled in Palmetto, Ga., and had two beautiful children.
Lillian was a wonderful wife, a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her grandkids most of all. Mrs. Sensing worked in quality control for CKS Packaging for twenty plus years. One of her favorite things to do was the simple pleasure of eating her favorite food, Mexican Cuisine. Mrs. Sensing’s family will cherish the memories of the family cookouts at Tonya’s home and all of the laughter and love.
Along with her parents, Lillian is preceded in death by her brother: Steve Cothran and sister Louise Cothran. She is survived by her husband Robert; son and daughter-in-law: Bruce and Cara Sensing of Fairburn, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law: Tonya and Bud Gilham of Newnan, Ga.; grandchildren: Mattie, Bristol, Bobbie, Riley, and Will; brother: Robert Cothran; and her sister Rosa Peppers both of Fairburn, Ga.

Please accept my sincere condolences. God knows the pain that comes when we lose a loved one, that is why God describes death as an enemy that he yearns to do away with (1 Corinthians 15:26). Our dear loved ones who are resting in death will soon be awakened and reunited with us (Isaiah 26:19). Hold on firmly to this beautiful hope, and may the wonderful memories fill your mind and heart.
