Ms. Lillie Mae Brinson, age 82, of College Park passed away September 17, 2019.
Ms. Brinson was born in Washington, Georgia on April 17, 1937 to the late Willie Dorsey Sr. and Kathleen Turner Dorsey. She has been a longtime resident of College Park. Ms. Brinson worked at Harley’s Hotel as a housekeeper from 1985 to 1995. The later part of her life she stayed busy caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the backbone of her family. A true busy-body, Ms. Brinson spent her days on her feet washing clothes and cooking for all her many family members. She was determined to keep bellies full with her impressive breakfast spreads, collard greens, turnips and oxtail.
Ms. Brinson was affectionately known as “Sara” to many friends and “Grandma” to her grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, all of whom she tended spoil. She had such wit about her. She always had funny stories to tell about her life that would keep you laughing for hours. Those memories will be forever cherished. She was outgoing and funny with an unforgettable smile. She was sweet and full of love. She helpful to everyone around her. A true nurturer, she guided her family with words of wisdom and never-ending love. Ms. Brinson was a Christian with a heart for Jesus Christ. She often spent time reading her Bible. She will be well missed by her family, who are truly thankful for the gift of having her in their lives. In Ms. Brinson’s memory, her family will continue to follow the words of wisdom she shared with them.
Along with her parents, Ms. Brinson was preceded in death by her husband: Glen Brinson; daughter: Deloris G. Williams; brother: Roger Dorsey. Ms. Brinson is survived by her daughter: Betty Jean Jackson Fuller of College Park; grandchildren: Tommy D. (Deionne) Fuller Jr. of Marietta, Lucan (Kesha) Fuller of Hampton and Omar Fuller of College Park; great-grandchildren: Omar Jr., Jaylin, De’mani, Omarielle, Draven, Bryce, Skylar, Keelon, Caden, Kamari, Brandon, Amber and Chantrese; sisters: Lillian Dorsey, Louise Culpepper, Pauline Williams and Nell Dorsey; brothers: John (Shirley) Dorsey, Willie (Olivia) Dorsey, Jimmy Dorsey and James (Francis) Dorsey; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; beloved canine companion: Diamond.

I’m sending my condolences to family and friends. I met Lullie Brinson in 1985 when we first bexame the best friends while working together at Harley Hotel from 1985 until 1994. Lillie and I remain friend until she depart this earth. Lillie was always like a mother figure to me who willbe greatly missed. I love you until we meet again. I’m just finding out today on 7/9/20 that you have be called to your heavenly home. I love You and miss you already so so much.
