Linda Cristine Stein, age 74, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Piqua, Ohio, December 3rd, 1950, to Sanford and Jane Kastner. Linda grew up alongside her parents, two sisters, and her brother. She attended Piqua Central high school, where she earned her high school diploma in 1969.
Linda spent her early adult years doing a bit of modeling, her beauty was undeniable. After modeling she began a long and fruitful career in Administrative Services, where she was able to very easily adapt to different industries. In 1984 Linda, and her husband at that time, decided to take a huge leap and left the comfort of home for a new beginning in the great state of Georgia. It was here that she put down roots and raised her girls. Linda kept very busy with work and helping out with her grandkids, but her daily walks to the mailbox gave her the time to meet a very special friend. Those daily mailbox conversations quickly bloomed into companionship and a love everlasting. She and Chad spent a blissful 20 years together.
Her life was filled with joy and chaos all mixed together. Linda’s passion was her family, and she spent as much time as she could loving and supporting them. She was a wonderful mother with a very loving and pure soul. Her lively spirit and welcoming home were the heart of many gatherings, making her presence a constant source of joy and comfort.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents: Sandford and Jane (Grunert) Kastner; her brother: Craig Kastner; her sister: Lori Pendergrass; and her grand-dog, whom she absolutely adored: Bella. She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, her daughters: Jennie Stein (Patrick Davis) of Kingston. GA and Angela (Wally) Brown of Fayetteville, GA; her grandchildren: Terry Beasley, Jr, Kennedy Luke, Nolan Luke, Cami Luke, and Preston Pitts; her companion of 20 years: Chad Grossman; and her former husband and father of her children: Doug Stein. Linda was also blessed in her life to have gained bonus grandchildren: Chase Brown and Gabe Brown, and her bonus great-grandchildren: Ryan, Jackson, and Brantley Brown.
Linda’s sweet laughter and contagious smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness.
